(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Bloomington Police officials arrested a Bloomington man after the man reportedly attempted to suffocate a woman with a pillow and for choking her cat during an argument.
21-year-old Jordan Allen Lacy of Bloomington was arrested Thursday on preliminary charges of battery, a Class C felony, strangulation, a Class D felony, and cruelty to an animal, a Class B misdemeanor.
According to Bloomington Police Lieutenant David Drake, this arrest follows a report made to police earlier this month from a 20-year-old woman who came to police to report that she had been assaulted by Jordan Lacy and that Lacy had tried to kill her cat on November 9th.
The six-month pregnant woman, informed police that Lacy shoved her and threw her to the ground during an argument, pinned her down and put a couch pillow over her face and also took her cat into the bathroom by its throat, ran the water in the bathtub and threatened to kill the cat.
Lacy has previously pleaded guilty to domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor, on September 30th in which he then entered into a deferred sentencing agreement with the court.
Lacy's bond has been set at $10,000 surety or $500 cash.
