(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - State and local law enforcement continue their search for a suspect in a Bloomington bank robbery.
Indiana State Police now believe that the man involved in Monday afternoon's armed robbery of the Bloomfield State Bank may have also committed as many as six other Indiana bank holdups in the past year.
Police say the description of the suspect as well as surveillance videos taken from several different banks that have been robbed, match up state police information.
Police believe the Bloomington suspect may have robbed the U.S. Bank in Hagerstown on February 4th, the First Financial Bank in Rushville on January 13th, the First Merchants Bank in Liberty on January 7th, M & I Bank in Pendleton on December 16th in 2008, First Financial Bank in Hartford City on December 15th in 2008 and Owen Community Bank in Spencer on December 10th in 2008.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomington police Detective Rob Shrake at 339-4477.
