(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Bloomington Police officials are searching for the suspect in a Bloomington sexual assault that occurred Saturday afternoon.
According to Captain Jerry Minger with the Indiana University Police Department, the woman, who is not an IU student, went with her family to an area south of 17th Street for the IU vs. Purdue football game.

After becoming separated from her family, she asked a man if he knew where she could find them; the man told her she could find her friends in the basement at a house party on Woodlawn Avenue near 13th or 17th streets.
The woman says the man proceeded to pull her into the basement where the sexual assault occurred. IU police say the suspect is described as a white man, approximately 20 years old with medium brown "buzz cut" hair.
A primary person of interest has been established and investigators are working to confirm his identity as the suspect.
