(SEYMOUR, IN) - Seymour Community Schools’ Sixth-Grade Center will be closed today, due to a gastrointestinal illness that’s spreading around the school.
So far over 70 students and two teachers have been affected by the virus called norovirus, that health officials say is not related to the H1N1 Flu.
Superintendent Teran Armstrong says that other schools in Jackson County have not seen any problems at this time and will remain open at this time.
Today janitors and custodians will be disinfecting most of the educational center with a bleach and water solution.
