(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A Bloomington man was rescued Friday from icy waters at Lake Monroe.
25-year-old Ronald Davis was fishing on a boat dock when he lost his balance and fell into the lake.
The DNR says a fisherman on another dock heard Davis hit the water and tried to rescue him, but could not get him out of the water.
Rescue crews arrived and pulled Davis to safety.
He was in the frigid water for about 20 minutes and could no longer use his legs.
He was transported to the hospital and treated for hypothermia.
