(PAOLI, IN) - Paoli Peaks is opening Saturday, a week earlier than expected as colder weather enabled the resort to make plenty of snow for skiing and tubing.
The Orange County resort is located 90 miles northeast of Evansville.
The snow base is at least 24 to 36 inches thick and growing with the help of more than 100 snow-making machines.
Hours for skiing on Saturday are 9:00AM to 10:00PM and on Sunday from 9:00AM until 10:00PM.
Most skiers needing to rent equipment can expect to pay $68 for a lift ticket and rental.
The arctic blast snow tubing park also opened over the weekend offering nine 700-foot lanes.
