(SHOALS, IN) - Police Officials discovered three wrecked vehicles in a field off of Williams Road in Martin County Friday evening.
Officers were called to investigate a road rage incident on Williams Road east of Murray Road, when they discovered the drivers of the vehicles fighting.
An Investigation revealed that a van driven by Sean M. Meadows of Springville containing several occupants, had recklessly driven into the driveway of a farm owned by Russell Cook of rural Shoals.
After seeing Meadows drive on his driveway, Cook and his son, Russell Cook III, followed the van in separate vehicles.
Eyewitnesses later stated that both Cook and his son rammed the van with their cars on several occasions and that Meadows had rammed them back.
Police officials say that the incident took place while the three vehicles, and a Jeep being driven by another of Cook's sons, sped down the gravel road at high speeds.
Once the vehicles came to a stop in a field, Cook III allegedly took a shotgun from his wrecked car and pointed it at the occupants of the van.
Russell Cook was charged with Intimidation, a class C felony; criminal recklessness, a class d felony and aggressive Driving, a class A misdemeanor.
Russell Cook III was charged with intimidation, a class C Felony; pointing a firearm, a class d felony; criminal recklessness, a class D felony; aggressive driving, a class A misdemeanor and driving while suspended/prior, a class A misdemeanor.
Sean M. Meadows was charged with criminal recklessness, a class D felony; operating while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor; trespassing, a class A misdemeanor; aggressive driving, a class A misdemeanor and driving while suspended, a class A infraction.
