(BEDFORD, IN) - A 26-year-old Mitchell woman found herself behind bars after taking her child to the hospital.
Police officials received a call from Bedford Regional Medical Center stating that there was a woman inside the hospital, giving hospital officials a hard time.
26-year-old Mary R. Tegarden of Mitchell had taken her child to the hospital and after hospital officials gave the mother the child's diagnoses, the woman reportedly became unhappy with health officials and began to cause a commotion.
Tegarden was later found to be intoxicated during her hospital visit.
Tegarden was charged with neglect of a dependent and public intoxication as well as disorderly conduct and battery to an officer.
