(COLUMBUS, IN) - Nearly $54 million in federal stimulus funds are being awarded to a Columbus-based engine maker to develop clean energy products by 2015.
U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu made the announcement this morning after touring the Cummins Technical Center.
The effort is part of a nationwide push to improve the efficiency of certain long-haul freight trucks by 50%.
