(EDINBURGH, IN) - A bill introduced in Indiana’s General Assembly that would have created 3 mile buffer zones around military installations in Edinburgh and North Vernon has been dropped.
The Indiana National Guard says the issue could come up again next year.
It would have given military officials a say in the approval of residential and business development in the area.
Proposals for projects such as subdivisions and shopping centers would have had to go to the military for a review.
