(UNDATED) - if you’re planning to renew your license this year, you’ll need to be aware of the changes at Indiana’s BMV branches.
As of January 1st, the BMV will offer licenses, permits and I.D. cards that meet security standards established by the Federal Real ID Act.
To qualify, a person renewing, replacing or applying for a new license, permit or I.D. will have to prove their identity with a birth certificate or passport, social security card and legal status as an Indiana resident.
You can check out the complete list of acceptable documents at mybmv.com.
