(NORTH VERNON, IN) - Investigators have recovered a 700-pound safe that was recently stolen from a Jennings County Catholic Church.
Police think thieves were after golden religious pieces stored in the safe.
It appears the safe was dropped from a bridge to jar it open.
The fall damaged several gold items inside the safe.
