(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University Bloomington reports spring semester enrollment has topped 40,000 for the first time.
That's a 4.2 percent increase compared to a year earlier.
For Indiana University's eight campuses, preliminary figures from the first day of classes show a total enrollment of 98,999, also a spring semester record.
The number of students grew significantly from last year at IU east, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, IU Kokomo, IU Northwest, IU South Bend and IU southeast.
Credit hours were up at all IU campuses.
