(SHOALS, IN) - Martin County is re-appling for a Housing Rehabilitation grant for the fourth time.
Officials say that about five houses in Martin County could benefit from the rehabilitation grant.
The request in the grant is $105,000, and the project will cost about $107,600.
After 10% is matched by Hoosier Upland, the county will be then be responsible for $2,600.
The competitive grant is based on family size and income.
Four items in each home will be restored, but no more than $20,000 total can be spent on each home.
Those applying for the grants must own their home and it must be the primary residence; single-wide trailers are not eligible.
The grant application will be submitted February 22nd.
