(PAOLI, IN) - Orange County Superior Court has ruled against the Town of Paoli in a lawsuit filed over lost rent.
According to reports, the court decided on December 23rd, that Paoli owed James L. Qualkenbush $15,221.00 for lost rent.
Qualkenbush sued the Town of Paoli, after the city council adopted an ordinance in September of 2007 that limited how many mobile homes could be placed on lot.
The ordinance restricted the limit to one manufactured home per 10,000 square feet.
At the time, Qualkenbush already had several manufactured homes in place and had paid to install utility taps when the ordinance was made.
The city of Paoli refused to place the taps and instead offered to refund the money.
The court determined that withholding the taps was improper.
