(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Bloomington Police officials are investigating several vandalisms in the Van Buren Park subdivision.
Everything from homes, cars and even dumpsters were defaced by spray paint earlier this week.
Many nearby residents are concerned that the recent graffiti may be the begginning of a gang formation in the area.
At least eight different streets, all bearing similar colors and symbols were painted.
Monroe County Sheriff's office says that the graffiti is most likely not connected with gang activity, rather kids with too much time on their hands.
The sheriff's office says it will step up patrols in the area and are urging residents to be extra vigilant.
