(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - By a vote of 38-10, the senate approved a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage late Thursday afternoon.
But house leaders indicate it's unlikely to advance in their chamber.
Two house versions of the gay-marriage ban sank without a trace in the rules committee.
Chairman Phil Giaquinta (D-Fort Wayne) doesn't rule out a hearing on the senate version, but says there are higher priorities.
