(BLOOMFIELD, IN) - With the heavy snowfall hitting all throughout the listening area, many grocers notice a rise in demand for three items; bread, milk and eggs.
Mark Angell, president of Angell's Food Center in Linton, says it's a mystery why people seem to flock to the store and stock up on staple the three items, known as the "big three" whenever a big winter storm is predicted.
He says that empty shelves for those items at any other time are not typical.
Angell said late wednesday that he hadn't noticed a big increase in store traffic yet, but as the snow flakes start to fall, the rush begins.
