(UNDATED) - UPS employees across Indiana will be spared from national job cuts.
On Friday, the Atlanta-based cargo and package shipper announced plans to lay off 18,000 management and administration positions in an effort to streamline its U.S. operations.
According to company Spokeswoman Lisa Hamilton, none of the reductions or office closings is planned for Indiana.
There are about 5,300 workers in 28 facilities across the state handling 374,000 packages a day.
