(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The city of Bloomington is installing a new breed of street signs designed to make it easier for drivers to navigate at night or in bad weather.
Officials say that the city is replacing more than 15,000 street signs with new highly reflective ones.
The new signs are manufactured with a high-intensity metal sheeting which makes the signs look like they are glowing when headlights hit them.
The new $25 a piece signs comply with an order from the U.S. Federal Highway Administration. Nearly 6,000 signs have already been replaced.
