(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A Bloomington woman, formerly of Florida and wanted in Virginia, is now sitting in the Greene County Jail, facing several drug-related charges.
Police say that 37-year-old Stacy M. Parks was arrested during a traffic stop on January 28th.
Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Pierce stopped a car that Parks was a passenger in.
The driver of the car did not have a valid driver's license but presented a state ID card and offered to let the deputy search his vehicle.
Officer Pierce than asked that driver if there was anything in the vehicle he needed to be aware of.
The driver said that his car was clean but there may be something inside Parks's purse.
The intoxicated Parks consented to the search her purse. Hydrocodone and klonapin pills were discovered inside.
The woman was taken into custody and transported to jail for possession of a controlled substances.
