(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - This week is “Celebrate Every Body Week” at Indiana University.
The Bloomington campus is holding numerous events throughout the rest of this week to promote healthy body images and how to maintain them in today's society.
The second annual week long celebration and education period is aimed at helping students, faculty and the public recognize and appreciate that good body image is determined by the individual, and not societal trends.
Andy fry, Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness for Campus Recreational Sports at IU, says a big part of having a good body image is psychological.
He says simple steps such as getting rid of clothes that no longer fit, or so-called "skinny jeans" can make a real difference in having a positive body image.
All of the week's events are free and open to the public.
