(BEDFORD) - Effective immediately, Dunn Memorial Hospital and Bedford Regional Medical Center have lifted the visitor restrictions put in place last fall in response to the H1N1 flu concern.
According to a report in the Times-Mail a plan designed to protect medically compromised patients and visiting children from being infected with the H1N1 virus had been in place for several months.
That plan stated visitors younger than 18 could not enter the hospitals.
Dunn and BRMC officials will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the visitation policy as necessary, which could result in reinstating the visitation restrictions.
