(SEYMOUR, IN) - A family of three were left homeless Thursday afternoon following a fire.
Fire investigators say that the, Seymour couple and their 1-year-old son escaped the blaze without injury.
Seymour Fire Chief Fred Hines says the north side home owned by Kevin and Jodie Smith, sustained extensive damage.
The fire is believed to have started on the porch of the home and then spread to the inside.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it was likely accidental.
A neighboring house to the home also sustained some damage to the siding.
