(LINTON, IN) - A Carrier for employed at the Linton Post Office, was taken into police custody Friday evening, suspected of stealing U.S. Mail from numerous customers on her mail route.
Authorities say that 45-year-old Morna K. Blakely of Lyons was booked into the Greene County Jail.

An investigation into the crime began after police were informed of someone throwing trash into a the ditch on County Road 900W.
Two full trash bags filled with numerous pieces of mail belonging to Blakely and several of her customers was recovered.
Blakely was released from jail on $12,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Friday.
