(SEYMOUR, IN) - A semi drove off of the road Wednesday in Jackson County as road crews attempted to remove a semi from the road which had been previously involved in a two-vehicle car wreck.
Authorities say that while the traffic was restricted in the area for the towing of the semi, another semi driver was "following too close" and had to drive off into the median to avoid a crash.
The removal of that vehicle caused additional road restrictions in the area and was removed Wednesday.
All the vehicles that were stranded in Jackson and Bartholomew County were reportedly due to the drivers driving too fast for the road conditions and following to close.
The highway was closed once again this morning as crews removed the very last vehicle in the median.
