(SEYMOUR, IN) - A Seymour man was arrested Thursday by local authorities for sex crimes involving a 10-year-old girl.
37-year-old Richard Blocker was charged with vicarious sex gratification and one count of child molesting after the girl, who is a relative of Blocker, reported the incident to a school counselor on January 27th.
Authorities say that vicarious sex gratification is when a person forces someone to watch them perform a sex act or forces them to perform a sex act while they watch.
Detective Troy Munson says that the incident actually occurred three years ago when the girl, who is now 13, was at Blocker's home.
Blocker has a history of minor criminal offenses, however he is not believed to have any previous sex crimes on record.
He was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
