(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The city of Bloomington is going a little “greener.”
Using funds from the Federal Stimulus Act, city officials say they plan to buy several solar-powered trash compactors about the same size as trash cans.
The goal is to reduce fuel usage and greenhouse gas emissions.
City officials say the fuel cost reductions will come with only having to clean out the trash compactors twice a week.
