(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A tabby cat was rushed to a Bloomington animal clinic last week following injuries sustained by apparently being set on fire.
Officials at the clinic say that the cat, which is missing its tail, is now alert and eating well.
Veterinarian Scott Royer says that the cat was brought in on Friday of last week, covered in soot and was in serious condition from the fire.
Royer says that the cat appears to have been burned with an extensive amount of damage to its tail leaving doctors no choice but to amputate the tail.
