(UNDATED) - Indiana’s unemployment rate for January is 9.7%, the same as the revised numbers for December.
State Department of Workforce Development Commissioner Teresa Voors says the rate "appears to be holding relatively stable based on the slowing of job losses."
Indiana continues to have the lowest unemployment rate among neighboring states. Kentucky climbed 1.6%.
Ohio increased 2.2%; Michigan grew 3.0% and Illinois jumped 3.2%.
The U.S. unemployment rate increased 2% from January 2009.
