(MITCHELL, IN) - A public hearing has been scheduled over the suspension of a Mitchell police officer.
Mitchell Mayor Dan Terrell says that the Mitchell Board of Public Works and Safety made the recommendation that an officer should be suspended and the officer was notified of the suspension by Mitchell Police Chief Jerry Presnell.
Presnell tells WBIW News that the officer has been suspended without pay.
Presnell could not comment any further on the situation.
A public hearing about the suspension will be held on April 12th in which the officer will have an opportunity to present his case.
