(UNDATED) - In an effort to stop impaired and dangerous driving on Indiana roadways, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute along with the Governor’s Council on Impaired & Dangerous Driving have joined in on Operation Pull Over Blitz 62.
The 17 day enforcement effort began on Friday, March 5th and will end on Sunday, March 21st.
The Indiana State Police will conduct sobriety checkpoints and will also enforce aggressive driving such as speeding, tailgating, flashing headlights and unsafe lane changes.
So far, troopers from the Indiana State Police Bloomington District have conducted patrols in Monroe, Greene, Brown, Lawrence and Owen Counties resulting in 10 DUI arrests, 6 driving while suspended arrests, 57 traffic citations and 131 traffic warnings.
