(UNDATED) - Indiana State Police have announced an upcoming pullover blitz.
Lieutenant Don Bolen, Commander of the Jasper District, says that between Friday, March 5th and Sunday, March 21st, more than 250 local law enforcement agencies around the state will focus their enforcement efforts on impaired and dangerous drivers.
In addition to the pullover blitz, many district are will be conducting sobriety checkpoints.
The 17-day blitz is has been purposely scheduled to line up with St. Patrick's Day and Hoosier basketball tournaments.
In March of last year, there were 41 traffic fatalities on Indiana roadways.
