(MARTINSVILLE, IN) - A decision is expected today on whether any action will be taken against two Martinsville police officers who tased a 10-year-old boy.
Patrolman Darren Johnson met behind closed doors during an executive session of the Martinsville Board of Public Works and Safety this week discussing the actions that led to his use of a department-issued taser on the boy.
The board had the session to discuss both Johnson's actions and those of Martinsville Police Captain William Jennings, who is said to have slapped the boy.
Both officers have been suspended without pay pending an investigation.
Both officers responded last week to a report of a juvenile problem at a day care where a 10-year-old boy was out of control, trying to hit adults.
