(LOOGOOTEE, IN) - Police were called to the scene of an overturned vehicle early Friday morning in Martin County near Loogootee.
According to police, 27-year-old Sarah D. Andrews of West Baden was traveling south on US 150 from the Shoals area at a high rate of speed and was swerving all over the road.
Andrews then proceeded to drive off of the roadway, flipping the car.
Upon investigation of the car wreck, officers located several open alcoholic containers inside the car, with Andrews found to be heavily intoxicated.
She was arrested for operating while intoxicated and transported to the Martin County Jail.
She suffered no injuries in the wreck.
Andrews erratic driving behavior was reporting to police by a motorist near the woman's car.
The Indiana State Police would like to remind motorists to dial 911 or the nearest Indiana State Police Post when they observe another motorist that may be impaired.
