(UNDATED) - Former Senator Dan Coats is vowing to bring conservative leadership back to Washington following his victory Tuesday in the Republican primary.
Coats moves on to face Representative Brad Ellsworth in the November election.
Ellsworth, who has represented a southern Indiana district since 2006, will formally become his party's nominee on May 15th.
It's a process necessitated by Senator Evan Bayh's surprise retirement.
