(NASHVILLE, IN) - A 17-year-old Columbus girl was taken into custody after leading Brown County police on a short car chase, using a stolen vehicle.
Brown County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Hess noticed a gold Chevy Cavalier pulling out of a gas station and onto State Road 46 East Tuesday afternoon which had a black bungee cord holding down the trunk lid.
A vehicle matching the same description was reported stolen a short time earlier.
Following the chase, officers located marijuana and a smoking device.
She was transported to the Columbus detention center on several charges.
