(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Two people were rescued from the White River Saturday afternoon in Monroe County.
According to police reports, divers rescued a man and woman from the river after nearly three hours of being stranded.
23-year-old Zachary Robinson and 19-year-old Alicia Casquet were kayaking in the river when the kayak struck a log and overturned.
Police say that the pair held onto tree limbs to stay afloat. No one was injured or taken to the hospital following the rescue.
