(UNDATED) - The Indiana State Teachers Association reacts to the latest ISTEP results that indicate statewide gains of 4% to 6% in each subject matter.
ISTA Vice President Teresa Meredith says it's an indication that most schools and teachers are working harder than ever to help students learn even in the wake of major educational budget cuts.
But she cautions the $300 million cutback did not go into effect until after the school year began, with many corporations warding off major changes until January or February of this year.
