(MITCHELL, IN) - Water in the city of Mitchell is now being pumped from the city’s new wells.
The water, treated with chlorine and fluoride is now making its way throughout all of the city's water mains and into the homes of Mitchell residents.
According to Mitchell Mayor Dan Terrell, the new water system went online on Wednesday after it passed all tests from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management twice.
He "that within the next three to five days, the water will be completely throughout our system, and the people of Mitchell will have good, safe drinking water again."
