(FRENCH LICK, IN) - State Representative Sandy Blanton of Orleans has created a new law that she believes will boost the Orange County economy.
The law will go into effect on July 1st and reduces the admission tax at the French Lick Casino from $4 to $3.
The law also redistributes the admissions tax to local groups in French Lick as well as the Orange County Redelopment Commission and the Indiana Economic Devopment Corporation.
Blanton says by reducing the tax, the casino will be in a more competitive position, providing a healthier economic climate for the entire community.
