(BLOOMFIELD, IN) - At least 70 dogs and puppies were taken from a Greene County mobile home that investigators say were being housed by “hoarders.”
Officials are not revealing who the owners are or where they live, but Sarah Hayes with the Monroe County Humane Association says they received a tip about the property several weeks ago.
Hayes says that an agreement was made in which officials would not name the home owners is they signed the dogs over to the humane association.
Hayes describes the mobile home owners as animal lovers who believed they were helping dogs in need due to the fact that the dogs were well-fed and had received water but were kept in close quarters.
