(NASSAU, BAHAMAS) - Colton Harris-Moore, known as the “barefoot bandit”, appeared in court in the Bahamas Tuesday.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to being in the country illegally after he crash-landed a $600,000 Cesna airplane stolen from the Monroe County Airport.
Harris-Moore is being fined $300 for his airplane misconduct and the U.S. Embassy in the Bahamas has agreed to pay it.
But when he's deported to the U.S., the barefoot bandit faces numerous charges of burglary and theft in several states.
