(BEDFORD, IN) - A Bedford garbage truck was destroyed by fire today.
Bedford Fire Department Chief Scott Gillespie says that crews were called to the scene at around 11:05AM.
Not much information is available at this time.
The garbage truck was heading down John Williams Boulevard when city workers driving the vehicle noticed smoke.
After pulling the truck over, flames began shooting out from underneath the vehicle's hood.
Officials say the fire most likely began in the engine compartment of the vehicle.
Those riding in the truck left the scene without injury.
