(MITCHELL, IN) - A special judge has been called in to hear the case of former Mitchell Police Officer Steve Blair who is currently suing the city over his termination.
The lawsuit, filed on May 20th appoints Judge E. Michael Hoff of Monroe County as the special judge.
Officials with the city say that the suit alleges that former officer Blair's termination from the Mitchell Police Department was illegal because the Board of Works and Safety did not have jurisdiction to hear officer disciplinary matters.
