(BLOOMINGTON, IN)- The Bloomington community has raised more than half a million dollars to save extracurricular activities at schools in the Monroe County Community School Corporation in just three weeks.
The district is faced with eliminating all extracurricular activities for next school year unless $750,000 is raised.
So far, $644,943 has been raised through various fundraisers including a car wash Saturday afternoon at Bloomington High School South.
