(VALLONIA, IN) - 67 mature marijuana plants were seized in Jackson County on Monday.
Officers with Jackson County Sheriff's Department seized the plants growing in the Vallonia area.
According to a press release issued from the department, the plants were seized after police received a tip about the plants growing along a hillside by a soybean field.
Police say the 4 to 6 feet tall plants are worth an estimated street value of $65,000 to $70,000.
Anyone with information about illegal drug activity may call the department at 358-2141.
