(BEDFORD, IN) - The Indiana Attorney Generals Office has taken civil action against April Eagan-Dorsett, Peggy Dorsett, Randy Dorsett and the Shawswick Township trustee’s insurance provider.
Officials say that the purpose of the action is to recover money that officials claim April Eagan-Dorsett stole from the office.
The civil filings result from a State Board of Accounts auditor who estimated that Eagan-Dorsett took $157,413 between 2005 and 2010.
Another Board of Accounts auditor estimated the loss in excess of $161,000.
The state also has asked for a restraining order against the three.
Eagan-Dorsett, free on bond, is set to go to trial on November 9th.
The temporary restraining order was granted by Lawrence Circuit Court Judge Andrea McCord earlier this week.
