(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A local doctor’s criminal case in federal court has been postponed.
Dr. Kamal Tiwari's trial, which was scheduled to have begun Monday has been postponed to January.
Tiwari is still scheduled to appear before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board on August 26th for a hearing to determine whether or not the anesthesiologist will lose his medical license.
The attorney general's office alleges Tiwari contributed to patient deaths by prescribing controlled substances to addicts, and is seeking to have Tiwari's license to practice medicine suspended.
