(BEDFORD, IN) - An Oolitic man remains in critical condition at Methodist Hospital following a motorcycle collision Friday afternoon.
Police say that 49-year-old Preston L. Harris was riding a motorcycle on Highway 58 near R Street when 74-year-old Phyllis I. Patton attempted to make a left turn onto R Street causing the collision.
Patton later informed investigators that she thought the motorcycle was farther away than it actually was.
Harris and his passenger, 33-year-old Shellee R. Craig were thrown an estimated 10 to 15 feet.
The two were airlifted to the hospital suffering several injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
